Malvern is blessed with fantastic countryside wrapped around the fabulous Malvern Hills, which is greatly enjoyed by a huge number of it's residents and visitors alike.
However, Malvern's younger residents' needs go largely unmet. TG's Project represents a positive step towards addressing these needs, providing a skatepark and other safe, youth-oriented facilities away from the streets and without negative local impact.
The vision for a new, skatepark-based facility in Malvern came originally from the members of the Youth Group at Parkside Church following the death, from cancer, of its member Tim Greenwood. Tim enjoyed his BMX and was wholeheartedly committed to the idea of bringing people together. Parkside's Youth Group felt that a new community centre would be a fitting tribute to his life.
What will it do for Malvern?
TG's Project has the potential to provide a positive effect on the whole community:
